Ken began his judo career in 1965 in New York, training at the Judo Academy of Long Island, Oishi Judo, NYAC, and Cranford Judo. After moving to Dallas in 1991, he became a key figure at Tamura Judo Institute. Following Vince Tamura’s retirement, he continued the program independently as Dallas Judo before relocating and establishing Eastside Dojo in Plano in partnership with Ken Patteson.
Ken is a sixth degree black belt and USA Judo certified coach.
Eastside Dojo in Plano has an excellent Judo facility accompanied by great coaches and a very welcoming family environment. They have Judo for all ages & sizes. This is where Champions are made.
Had my first day, really was a great learning experience! Josh does a fantastic job explaining the fundamentals and building on them with new techniques to apply. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to continue!
